Beep app to keep government officials away from WhatsApp
it is in test
Beep Pakistan, a safer alternative to WhatsApp, will soon be available to government officials.
“The idea behind the creation of this app is to create a secure infrastructure and platform that government officials can use without the risk of eavesdropping or hacking into sensitive data,” said Shabahat Ali Shah, CEO of National Information Technology Board, in an interview with Naya Din. July 9. The app is under testing and should work fine when launched.
This app will help government employees send documents, messages, photos and video / voice conferences without having to worry about security. Government officials have long used WhatsApp, which is a third-party application. “We’re going to launch this for the federal government as a first step and see how to expand it beyond the private sectors and businesses in the near future.”
The government of Pakistan has several data centers for this application. They will use the one in Islamabad known as NTC. There are several firewalls and layers of security added to the app and configured to extend the privacy of app users, he added.
