Department of Labor launches Facebook page for Spanish-speaking New Yorkers

STATEN ISLAND, NY — The State Department of Labor (DOL) has launched a Spanish version of its English-language Facebook page to ensure Spanish-speaking New Yorkers have access to up-to-date information from the Department.
The launch of the Facebook page comes after the new announcement from the Ministry of Labor Twitter.
The new social media pages will provide information on job training and opportunities, worker rights and protections, unemployment insurance, immigration policies and other important resources.
Information and updates on the coronavirus (COVID-19) will also be shared on the Facebook and Twitter pages, along with information on programs and resources for Spanish-speaking workers and families.

“Adding these more accessible social media resources will ensure that all New Yorkers are kept up to date on how the Department of Labor can help them,” Reardon said.
