Facebook Messenger, Instagram facing problems for the second time …

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Facebook Inc on Friday confirmed that some users were having difficulty accessing its apps and services, days after the social media giant suffered a six-hour outage triggered by an error during maintenance of routine on its network of data centers.
Some users were unable to load their Instagram feeds, while others were unable to send messages to Facebook Messenger.
âWe are aware that some people have difficulty accessing our applications and products. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience, âFacebook said in a tweet.
People quickly took to Twitter to share memes about Instagram’s second disruption this week.
Web monitoring group Downdetector showed that there were more than 36,000 incidents of people reporting issues with the Instagram photo-sharing platform on Friday. Over 800 issues have also been reported with Facebook’s messaging platform.
Downdetector only tracks outages by gathering status reports from a range of sources, including errors submitted by users on its platform. The outage may have affected more users.
Monday’s blackout was the biggest Downdetector ever and blocked access to apps for billions of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp users.
