Williamsport, Pennsylvania – A 30-year-old man has been charged with first-degree drug delivery resulting in death after Williamsport police say they discovered a deceased woman at the YWCA on March 31, 2020.
Police said two cell phones were located next to the deceased as well as an uncapped hypodermic needle near a property on the 800 block of W 4and Street. According to the affidavit, a cell phone investigation helped officers locate conversations with a person they believe facilitated the sale of drugs.
Jersey Shore’s Tyler Albert Moore was identified as the man in the conversations and charges were filed April 28, police said.
“The messages clearly show (deceased) chatting with Tyler Moore who then facilitates a narcotics deal with (deceased) leading to the death of (deceased),” wrote agent Brittany Alexander.
Authorities said an autopsy performed on the deceased concluded the cause of death was mixed drug toxicity with a mixture of fentanyl and buprenorphine.
A court summary shows that in addition to the first-degree felony charge, Moore was also charged with the third-degree felony of criminal use of a means of communication and possession with intent to deliver a substance controlled.
Moore was given $250,000 monetary bond on a preliminary arraignment with Judge Christian Frey and jailed in Lycoming County Jail.
