PETALING JAYA: Pharmaniaga Bhd has acknowledged the apologies of former radio presenter and actor Patrick Teoh who made several allegations against the pharmaceutical company on his Facebook page last month.

Pharmaniaga said he was made aware of Teoh’s misleading allegations on his personal account on July 22, which they said “discredited the company”.

They said that following the engagement with Teoh, he deleted his post and apologized.

“Although we respect differences of opinion, we do not tolerate slander and false allegations,” he said in a statement Tuesday (August 3rd).

Pharmaniaga said she would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who continues to damage the reputation and integrity of the company.

“Let us all be responsible Malaysian citizens and be very careful when making or sharing unverified comments to avoid public misinformation,” they said.

Teoh issued an unconditional apology to Pharmaniaga on his Facebook page on Monday August 2, saying there was no basis for the allegations made in his original post.

In his post last month, Teoh made several allegations against Pharmaniaga, after it was reported that they would sell 14 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine to interested states and private companies from July through September.
