BRANDON BARKER was caught in a fire drama during Oxford’s weekend win over Wigan.

The game was initially pushed back 24 hours due to frozen terrain before a one hour delay for it to thaw properly, with the fire also pushing back the restart.
Oxford boss Karl Robinson has revealed players can smell the burning flames during his half-time squad interview before being taken to safety.
He said: “It’s been a mental 40 minutes, another chapter of this season.

On the pitch, former Motherwell player Callum Lang kicked Wigan out before Barker equalized.
The U then scored the winner with seven minutes remaining, with former Gers leader Joe Dodoo seeing his effort for Wigan blocked late.
