WhatsApp Business Beta pushed to link Facebook and Instagram accounts to reach more users
With the launch of Whatsapp, WhatsApp Business started testing new prompts asking users to link their Facebook and Instagram accounts to reach more and more users. Meta-owned Whatsapp instant messaging application is pushing WhatsApp Business beta testers to attract new customers with the availability of a separate banner. For starters, the flag is reaching a handful of beta testers on Android, and there are plans to launch the banner to iOS testers in the coming weeks.
According to the report shared by WABetaInfo, the new banner is talking to WhatsApp Business users to link their Instagram and Facebook accounts who have started brainstorming the latest beta version of the messaging app for Android phones.
By becoming active, the banners will attract new customers by advertising their business on the two platforms mentioned above.
The cross-platform banner can also be useful, as Meta plans to expand the use of ads on Instagram and Facebook to direct users to WhatsApp businesses.
Earlier in October, Meta analyzed gross advertising revenue of Rs 16,189 crore in India for FY22. This was marked as a remarkable 74% increase in year-over-year (YoY) growth, according to the company’s recent filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Last week, WhatsApp launched the ability to support 1,024 members on its group chat support. The launch will help 32-member group video calls. The company is also set to launch its highly anticipated Communities feature.
In May, the platform was detected to be working on a status reply indicator that users will see when they receive replies to their status updates. However, Meta has yet to introduce a release schedule for this feature, which is still in the development stage.
