According to WABetaInfo WhatsApp has started testing a new tab for its Communities feature. The latest feature has been enabled in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.22.6.9. However, the report states that users of the most recent beta will not be able to see the new Community tab at this time as it is still in development and will be released in the future update.

When the user opens a new tab, the community home may appear, listing all the communities you are a member of. Group admins can add their groups to communities, which are end-to-end private locations containing specific groups.
