Workplace renews contract for 90,000 employees with Vodafone
Facebook’s Workplace has renewed an agreement that sees its platform used by more than 90,000 Vodafone employees.
Vodafone first adopted Workplace in 2019 and said it has proven to be vital and has kept employees connected over the past 18 months.
Johan Wibergh, CTO at Vodafone, said: “Over 90,000 of our employees around the world use Workplace to stay in touch. With many of them currently working remotely, Workplace has become an invaluable central resource for us to connect with each other, host live events, share information and collaborate on projects to help our people. clients.
“Above all, it is intuitive and accessible so that our employees can feel part of an inclusive community. “
Vodafone said the features included in Workplace, including live video, have helped its employees stay in touch with senior management, including its chief executive.
The phone company added that it plans to continue using Workplace for the long term as it develops its hybrid work strategy, with many employees expected to work remotely at least part of the time.
Julien Codorniou, Vice-president at Workplace, said: “Vodafone is a company that lives and breathes its concept ready for the future. By connecting its employees across the globe with Workplace, Vodafone has kept the community going during the pandemic while preparing for a new world of work. We are delighted to continue to fuel the Vodafone community through this renewal.
